Business-day maths in a spreadsheet formula
Finance teams keep holiday lists in a hidden tab, typed in once a year and rarely checked. When a holiday moves or a new one is announced, every workbook that uses the tab is quietly wrong.
How it works
Add format=text to a request and the API returns one bare value, which Excel’s WEBSERVICE and Google Sheets’ IMPORTDATA read straight into a cell. format=csv returns rows for a range of dates.
There’s no add-in and no macro, and the dates update with each release instead of waiting for someone to retype a tab.
Try it
Try it with your API key:
=WEBSERVICE("https://api.financecalendarapi.com/v1/business-days/add?date=2027-12-23&n=2&calendars=USD,XNYS&format=text&key=YOUR_KEY")Business days between two dates runs it in your browser.

Questions
Does it need an add-in or a macro?
No. Excel's WEBSERVICE and Google Sheets' IMPORTDATA call the API directly, and format=text returns one bare value for the cell.
Can I get a list of holidays into a sheet?
Yes. format=csv returns rows for a date range, which IMPORTDATA spreads across cells.
